We believe that when a person€™s differences are understood and their strengths are supported, they are less likely to present with complex behaviours as a way of coping with the world. Our objective is to help the people that we work with flourish into their full potential. A fantastic opportunity has come up in our outreach service. We are seeking to recruit 2 Assistant Team Leaders. The focus of the role will be to provide support to adults with autism living with their families and supporting them to develop/maintain life skills and go out to be part of the community. The adults you will be supporting are based in different various areas in London (North, West, East and South). The role involves working five days a week with commitment to work every other weekend to ensure all team members have a work/life balance. It is a mixture of administrative work and direct support. About You the Assistant Team Leader: The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion about working within this sector and possess excellent customer service and people management skills due to this role needing on-going interaction with family members of the people we support. You will need to demonstrate how you meet our values and experience of working with behaviours that challenge. Due to the role involving driving some of the people we support, a car driver is essential. The Assistant Team Leader Role Are you passionate about supporting people with disabilities and/or autism to leave full lives? Are you looking for an opportunity to move into a first level management role? This is a fantastic opportunity to join our dedicated and empowering staff team. The role will involve a mixture of administrative duties as well as direct support delivered on a 1-1 basis with people we support to access the community, daily living activities and social activities. The position will include reviewing of support plans and risk assessments, managing health and safety checks and maintenance reporting. You will work closely with the Team Leader to inspire and motivate the team to provide a high quality service, as well as assisting in implementing current legislation and CQC requirements. Acting as a role model in the delivery of active support, you will promote and maintain person-centred approaches and inclusive community links to achieve positive outcomes with the people we support and care reviews, record daily notes, lead shifts and cover the rota where necessary. Assistant Team Leader Essentials: * Previous experience in working with people with Autism and experience of working with individuals with behaviours that challenge. * Being physically fit and able to walk long periods in the community. * Travel is essential so must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle. * Be confident in using your own initiative. * Have strong IT skills and be able to manage your own time and work under pressure. * Creativity, motivation and enthusiasm to bring new ideas into the service. * Thorough knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children * The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure, an employment background check, satisfactory references and verification of right to work in the UK.
