Bathroom Fitter Required Job Type: Contract Start date: Immediate Industry: Building & Construction Location: Birmingham and surrounding areas Salary: GBP 24-26 per hour ———————————————————————————— JOB DESCRIPTION: Bathroom Fitter required for a large nationwide construction company that specialises in maintenance projects. Our client is looking for experienced and hardworking bathroom fitter to join a project based in Birmingham. This bathroom fitter contract will be ongoing, with hours being 7:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday and the potential option to work overtime at the weekends. Daily responsibilities will include: Bathroom Installation: Execute all aspects of bathroom installation, including plumbing, tiling, waterproofing, and electrical work as necessary. Client Interaction: Interact professionally with clients, understand their needs, and provide expert guidance on design and material choices. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work meets or exceeds industry standards, adhering to local building codes and regulations. Materials Management: Oversee the procurement of materials and maintain inventory control to minimize delays. Project Management: Manage project timelines, coordinate with subcontractors if required, and keep clients informed of progress. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and address any unexpected challenges during installations, finding efficient solutions. Safety Focus: Maintain a safe work environment, following safety protocols to protect team members and clients. Customer Satisfaction: Strive for exceptional service, aiming to exceed client expectations and leave them delighted with the results. Any other works as directed by the site team Requirements for the role Proven experience as a Bathroom Fitter or similar role in bathroom remodeling. Strong expertise in wet room installation techniques, including plumbing, tiling, waterproofing, and electrical work. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Exceptional problem-solving skills and an eye for detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions. Strong time management and project management abilities. Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
