Job Description

Buyer €“ Groundworks £25.000 – £35,000 NW7 Your role will include the following: * Reporting directly to the Head of procurement, managing the supplier framework. * Identifying potential suppliers and new products. * Site visits. * Contacting a range of suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain quotations. * Keeping detailed records. * Assessing the reliability of sub-contractors and suppliers. * Dealing effectively with challenges with suppliers and the flow of materials. * Ensuring compliance with the safety, health and environment requirements of materials and services. * Preparing and maintaining cost reports in order to maximise efficiency within the business. * Negotiating and agreeing the most favourable terms possible with suppliers. Previous Experience: * Must have previous Buyer/Purchasing experience within construction sector. * Knowledge of framework agreements. * Experience within the construction industry. * Knowledge of ERP systems would be preferred. Skills Required: * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. * Excellent attention to detail.
