Job Description To support the company€™s special projects division involved from design through delivery to commissioning and final handover. Principal role will involve dealing with the company€™s high-end special projects that require a high level of technical ability and understanding. Would ideally suit a generator commissioning engineer of many years who wishes to progress into the management & delivery chain by bringing their broad experience to assist delivering complex / multi-synchronising high value generator projects. Experience Essential €¢ Must have experience of commissioning / fault finding of low voltage generators up to 3MVA €¢ Must have experience of commissioning synchronising systems both Island mode and Mains Paralleling €¢ Demonstrable experience with systems such as DeepSea / ComAp / Woodward / FGWilson €¢ Holds current ECS / CSCS card of sufficient standard able to attend installations on construction sites €¢ Qualifications relevant and related to BS7671 €¢ Understanding of diesel reciprocating engines / generator controls / support mechanical systems involving fuel storage & delivery / air movement / exhaust gas flue systems €¢ SSSTS (or ability & willingness to obtain) €¢ Competent use of office based tools such as Microsoft Office / Project €¢ Previous Customer Facing experience where they possess ability to converse and professionally interact over levels from installation technicians thru to customers ProjectManagers to principal consultants. €¢ The right to work and hold permanent residence in UK €¢ Willingness to involve themselves in all aspects of delivering these systems without borders €¢ Keenness to develop skills and exposure to parallel activities such as Design / Procurement / Cost Control / Project Management €¢ Ability to demonstrate self-management in line with given goals and responsibilities Desirable €¢ Understanding of PLC systems and communications protocols / topology €¢ Some fault finding experience / use of PLC controls which can be developed €¢ SMSTS €¢ Driving Licence €¢ High Voltage experience and exposure or at minimum desire and ability to progress withfurther training €¢ At least basic understanding of terms such as G59 / G99 / BaseLoad / Peak Lopping /Proportional Load-Sharing / MCPD / NRMM / CDM €¢ Ability for occasional travel outside of the London area but predominantly within M25 zone €¢ Occasional willingness to work unsocial hours / weekends. Location Ideally based within daily commute of London city. Areas in the South / Southeast considered as majority of companies work is within or short travelling distance of M25 areas.
