Our client is a multi-award winning developer and house builder, with over 20 years of experience with all aspects of construction such as house building, contracting, planning / design and build to provide homes located in highly sought after areas. The business work on a mixture of RC Frame & Traditional build projects across North London and the Home Counties. Role: Design Manager We are currently seeking a lead Design Manager to run a 200+ unit scheme in North West London. The scheme is a mixture of RC Frame & Traditional build contract and is at the early stages. The right candidate will be the lead for this project reporting into a Head of Design. Responsibilities include but aren€™t limited to: * Appointing external consultants. * Resolving technical issues arising from sites. * Managing the consultants€™ appointment process & paperwork including: PI insurance, Collateral Warranties. * Checking working drawing packages produced by External Consultants. * Suggesting alternative construction methods, details, and materials to increase margin, improve quality and reduce lifetime costs. * Obtaining design drawings from suppliers and obtaining consultant approval. * Appointing / checking Landscape Architects details. * Checking Structural Engineers drawings in relation to the Architects drawings.
