Job Description

We are looking for Early Years Practitioners to start immediately in a well-known Children Centre in North London. We are looking for experienced practitioners, who are available immediately, to provide high quality day care and early education to children from birth to 7 years, within a multi €“ disciplinary team and in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Requirements: * Qualified to level 2 or 3 within Childcare / Early years education * Enhanced DBS, preferably on the online update service * Must be able to work 7-8 hour shifts in between 8 am €“ 6 pm * Experienced of working with children from birth to 7 years * 3 years education/employment references Duties include, but not limited to: * Contributing to planning and support delivery of a high-quality early years curriculum, which includes a full commitment to anti-discriminatory practice. This will include daily, weekly and termly planning to meet individual children’s needs and interests and record keeping that tracks the development of the individual child. * Promoting children€™s development within a secure, safe and stimulating environment, and with reference to good practice curriculum guidance appropriate to the ages and stages of development of the children. * Providing an input to the assessment of children€™s overall development, including carrying out observations, recording children€™s achievement, and maintaining developmental records to a high standard. * Supporting colleagues in undertaking their responsibilities as key worker to a specific group of children within the centre and the smooth transition from home to centre and from centre to school * Provide appropriate physical care in areas of washing, toileting, changing, feeding, dressing, comforting and administering medication. * Assiting with the organisation of outings for children€™s interest, education and enjoyment and with regard to safety. * Must be able to work to the shift pattern required by the setting, falling between 8am and 6pm.
