Contek Recruitment are working with a well-established Electrical contractor based in Bromsgrove who are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team. Position Overview: As an Experienced Electrical Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our bidding and estimation process. You will work closely with our estimating team to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical components of M&E projects across various sectors. We are looking for an individual with significant experience in electrical estimating who can lead our efforts in securing and executing projects. Key Responsibilities: €¢ Review project specifications, drawings, and documents to develop comprehensive electrical estimates. €¢ Collaborate with the estimating team to analyse project requirements, identify potential risks, and propose value engineering solutions. €¢ Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers. €¢ Prepare and present detailed electrical cost estimates, including materials, labour, and associated costs, to senior management and clients. €¢ Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as necessary. €¢ Maintain an up-to-date database of historical project cost data. Qualifications: €¢ Substantial experience in electrical estimating within the Electrical industry. €¢ In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and components. €¢ Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. €¢ Strong communication and presentation skills. €¢ Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. €¢ Familiarity with local building codes and regulations. €¢ Relevant electrical or engineering qualifications are advantageous.
