Job title: Interface Engineer Location: Birmingham (on-site) Contract length: 3 months with extension possible Working hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm Pay rate: £ 400 – £500 per day Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently seeking an Interface Engineer on behalf of a leading infrastructure company. Job purpose: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interface Engineer to join the established team in Birmingham on a 3-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all interfaces are effectively processed to achieve project objectives and control risks associated to those interfaces. Responsibilities: * Identify and define the physical and functional interfaces with other parties such as Sub-lot partners, Railway System Contractors, External Stakeholders, the Designer, Suppliers and Sub-Contractors * Recording of the interfaces in the Interface Register and the Interface Management Tool and monitor its progress throughout its lifecycle * Coordinating and expediting technical interfaces between various engineering offices of the project team and construction team * Developing, maintaining and issuing the interface documentation related to his/her scope and prepare periodically the relevant reporting as defined in the Project Management Plans * Taking part in the technical resolution of the interfaces whenever needed to ensure Interfaces related to his/her scope are resolved and managed effectively * Taking part in the preparation of the Supply Chain Sub-Contract Documentation to ensure the interface requirements are fully considered * Supporting the site team for the management of the construction interfaces * Supervising the implementation and validation of the interfaces through the construction, inspection, and commissioning phases. Qualifications/Experience: * Proven experience in Interface Management * Engineering Degree * Strong organisational and communication skills. * Proven experience in the delivery of multi-discipline projects RSR supports applications from a diverse talent pool.
