the Company: Our Client is an Established and Quality focused Mechanical contractor, who specialises in the design and installation working across the residential and commercial sectors, Since their inception in 1923 my client has become a reputable name within the construction industry, building relationships with some of the UK€™s leading names. due to company growth, my client is looking to add a Quantity surveyor. About the Company: Our client is a well-established quality-focused Mechanical and Electrical contractor who specialises in Design and Installation working across the residential, commercial and retail sectors. Since their inception in 1997, my client has become a reputable name within the construction industry. they have built strong relationships with some of the UK€™s largest main contractors and have healthy order books for 2023/2024. About the Role: Due to company growth, my client is looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their established commercial team, where the selected individual will play a pivotal role in managing projects and closely collaborating with the site team and clients. Their key responsibilities will involve assisting in cost management and handling contractual matters with precision and attention to detail. As valued member of the team, they will contribute their expertise to ensure the successful execution of projects and maintain the high standards our client is known for in the industry. Main Duties * Estimating and cost planning. * Procurement advice * Contract administration and cost control. * Work with clients on variations to the contract. * Allocate work to subcontractors. * Value completed work and arrange payments. * Cost reporting and final account preparation. * Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work. * Provide advice on contractual claims. * Work closely with Project Managers, attend meetings and undertake site visits. * To have knowledge and understanding of the workplace health and safety regulations. Candidate Requirements: * Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering or equivalent * Technically competent with a good understanding of mechanical installation methods and pricing * Must have minimum 3 years of Mechanical Surveying experience, preferably with experience working on projects worth over £5M or more * Strong mathematical and IT skills * Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point About the Benefits and Rewards: Salary will be agreed with each individual on a case-by-case basis depending on previous experience. As a rough guideline I will be targeting individuals whose annual salary is within £50K to £70K.
