Principal Mechanical Engineer Building Services Birmingham Avocet are excited to be working with a fantastic MEP Consultancy in the heart of Birmingham. They are looking to add a Chartered Principal Mechanical Engineer to their office in Birmingham. The team are currently very busy working across various sectors, namely Residential, Education, Commercial and Healthcare developments. Responsibilities: * Acting as Project Leader on selected projects * Client facing and involved in all stages from inception to completion * Produce detailed calculations using industry standard digital tools such as IES and Cymap * Specification and report writing * Produce technical drawings using AutoCAD * Liaise with other industry professionals inc Civil & Structural Engineers, Builders, Architects, Surveyors and in house teams Who You€™ll Be * Bachelor€™s in mechanical engineering or a related field * 10+ years of Building Services experience * CIBSE Chartered (CEng) * Confident communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas * Experience in managing Senior, Apprentices and Graduate Engineers * Experience in Software design (Revit, IES, Microsoft) * Essential technical experience: Design of Mechanical Building Services * Full UK driving licence * Confident communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas.
