Our Multi-national client has a requirement for a Production / Control Room Operative to work in their manufacturing facility in Central Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding organisation, working within what is one of their 14 global locations.
This is a full time permanent position, with a generous salary and exceptional package of benefits.
Working on a continental shift pattern, of 2 x 12 hour dayshift and 2 x 12 hour nightshift, then 4 days off (4 on 4 off rotation), each position will require the individual to work within a small team of 5.
The work involves the production of a food product, which is made to several exact specifications in line with their clients requirements. This requires their operatives to be excellent communicators, good with numbers and quantities, IT literate and quality aware, while maintaining a good eye for detail. Some previous experience working within food production and the SCADA system is essential.
Some of the work can be of a physical nature, so the ideal candidates must be able to juggle the manual elements of the job, as well as the computer based side. Full 1 to 1 training will be provided to ensure anyone commencing work is afforded the time to train, as a firm grasp of the production process and the technical / IT elements of the job are essential.
The environment is fast moving and often has to change direction at very short notice, which may involve stopping and completely changing the prodction run to a different product type, mid-way through the run.
Your time will be 50% manual / operational and 50% control room based.
The base salary is circa 25k pa, plus generous benefits including Group Life Insurance, Group Pension and Private Medical Insurance. Other benefits include unsociable hours allowance, group performance bonus (when applicable) and overtime when required.
