Quantity Surveyor €“ Passive Fire Protection Job Title: Quantity Surveyor €“ Passive Fire Protection Job reference Number: (phone number removed) Industry Sector: Fire Curtains, Domestic Fire Curtains, Smoke Curtain, Fire Control, Smoke Control, Fire Doors, Fire Prevention, Domestic, Homeowners, Private Homeowners, Developers, Architects, Sub Contractor Location: Essex Remuneration: £50,000 – £60,000 + Performance Related Bonus Benefits: Company Car Allowance (£500p/m) + Comprehensive benefits package The role of the Quantity Surveyor €“ Passive Fire Protection will involve: * Quantity surveyor position for various fire protection requirements; fire doors, fire & smoke curtains, fire & acoustic penetration seals, façade fire & acoustics cavity barriers * Organising and participating in site survey visits in order to understand and develop scope of the work where necessary * Estimating the price of projects and producing quotations * Dealing with enquiries from various clients via tender portals, phone calls and emails * Preparing and submitting accurate and detailed tenders within the timeframe provided * Continue to develop relationships with clients to secure further business * Complete all paper work & documentation for projects and tenders * Liaising with the Contracts Manager to facilitate the progression of tenders and projects ensuring that they€™re running smoothly * Prioritise own workload to ensure customers€™ deadlines are met * Ability to resolve technical issues * Will be working on circa 10 jobs at any one time with value up to £1m The ideal applicant will be a Quantity Surveyor €“ Passive Fire Protection with: * Must have subcontractor quantity surveying experience within the construction industry, ideally will have fire protection experience * Ideally will have a quantity surveyor degree * Must be a great team player * Must be a hard worker that€™s ready to get stuck in * Full UK driving licence * Must have worked on multiple projects at once * High levels of organisation and attention to detail * Confident individual * Good IT skills (Microsoft Office) Mitchell Maguire is a specialist Construction Recruitment Consultancy, dealing exclusively with Construction Jobs, Construction vacancies and Specification positions within the building industry in sectors such as: Fire Curtains, Domestic Fire Curtains, Smoke Curtain, Fire Control, Smoke Control, Fire Doors, Fire Prevention, Domestic, Homeowners, Private Homeowners, Developers, Architects, Subcontractor
