Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor Location: Bromsgrove Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor seeking a challenging role with a leading structural engineering company based in Bromsgrove? We specialize in delivering high-quality engineering solutions to our clients and are currently expanding our dynamic team. Join us in working on multiple projects weekly, collaborating with fellow professionals, and contributing to our commitment to excellence. Responsibilities: * Conduct cost estimating, cost planning, and budgeting for construction projects. * Prepare and analyze tender documents, contracts, and variations. * Perform cost analysis and offer value engineering solutions. * Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure efficient cost management and project delivery. * Generate detailed cost reports and cost forecasts. * Review and negotiate subcontractor quotations. * Monitor project costs in alignment with established budgets. * Assist in contract administration and settlement of final accounts. * Stay updated on industry trends, changes in legislation, and best practices related to cost estimating and quantity surveying. Requirements: * Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field. * MRICS or similar professional qualification is desirable. * Minimum of X years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor. * Excellent knowledge of cost estimating, tendering, and procurement processes. * Solid understanding of construction contracts and relevant legislation. * Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload effectively.
