Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor Location: Bromsgrove Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor seeking a challenging role with a leading structural engineering company based in Bromsgrove? We specialize in delivering high-quality engineering solutions to our clients and are currently expanding our dynamic team. Responsibilities: * Conduct cost estimating, cost planning, and budgeting for construction projects. * Prepare and analyze tender documents, contracts, and variations. * Perform cost analysis and offer value engineering solutions. * Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure efficient cost management and project delivery. * Generate detailed cost reports and cost forecasts. * Review and negotiate subcontractor quotations. * Monitor project costs in alignment with established budgets. * Assist in contract administration and settlement of final accounts. * Stay updated on industry trends, changes in legislation, and best practices related to cost estimating and quantity surveying. Requirements: * Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field. * MRICS or similar professional qualification is desirable. * Minimum of X years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor. * Excellent knowledge of cost estimating, tendering, and procurement processes. * Solid understanding of construction contracts and relevant legislation. * Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload effectively.
