****Residential Support Worker Children€™s Home**** Salary: Up to £24,960 Location: Twickenhan TW1 Reports to:Registered Children€™s Home Manager / Deputy Manager Shifts: Up to 40hrs per week, Day shifts, Night shifts, Weekend and Bank holidays. £50 Extra for each night shift worked The Children€™s service will undertake and support you to take qualifications once you have completed your probationary period. Ofsted children’s home/ 16 plus supported living. Residential home setting/Semi-independent living Serious applicants only An established children’s / young people social care provider. Must Have 1-2 years experience in young people in EBD setting (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties), challenging behaviour, substance misuse, abuse, domestic violence within the home, sex trafficking abuse, gang trauma, street violence. Must be flexible with working in different shift pattern setting including weekends Either a relevant professional qualification or NVQ level 3 in children & young people or working towards. Other Skill I.T proficient Supporting/engaging personality Be positive/influencing to encourage responsible behaviour. For our Children€™s Residential Home, we are currently seeking to recruit Residential Support Worker. Our House is a three bedded EBD (Emotional Behavioural Disorders) Home based in East London Newham, within easy access of tube stations. We are looking for candidates who have experience of working with young people, either in children€™s residential or a similar setting €“ youth work, PRU, youth justice etc. Experience with young people with EBD is essential, and we would certainly prioritise experience of working with challenging behaviour (rather than disabilities) Main Purpose: To work proactively as a member of the team providing high quality direct day to day care and support to children and young people, operating positively and creatively within the daily routine and agreed structures of the Home and acting as a Key Worker.
