We are in search of a Senior Estimator with an impressive track record, ready to take on the challenge of scaling our project portfolio. You will be directly contributing to our mission of reshaping the landscape of social housing, with projects ranging from £1m to £6m in value. This role offers the potential to grow and assume greater responsibilities within our organization, aiming for a strategic position in project planning and execution. Your Role: A Fusion of Precision and Strategy As the Senior Estimator, your role will be critical in ensuring the financial success and competitiveness of our projects. You will apply your expertise in: * Detailed cost planning and estimation for external and internal refurbishments, including but not limited to: * Brick and concrete repairs * DOFF Cleaning * Window and door installations * Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) works * External decorations and landscaping * Roofing solutions, including pitched, flat, and liquid waterproofing * Balcony and walkway refurbishments Responsibilities * Lead the estimation process for diverse projects, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and profitability. * Collaborate closely with the production and commercial teams to align project objectives and budgets. * Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate the best terms and ensure high-quality materials and services. * Participate in bid preparation and submission, showcasing our capabilities and value proposition to clients. * Contribute to the strategic planning and forecasting of project pipelines, ensuring alignment with company goals. Required Qualifications and Experience * Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry, preferably with a focus on social housing or refurbishment projects. * CSCS Card (Black Management Card or academically qualified white card). * SMSTS, Asbestos Awareness, and First Aid at Work certifications. * NVQ Level 6/7 or equivalent in a relevant field; CIOB Membership is an advantage. * Proficiency in MS Projects and other estimation software.
