Senior Parent Support Advisor Enfield Umbrella Pay- £22.71 per hour 24/03/2024 €“ 3 months initially Monday to Friday, 9am €“ 5pm, 35 hrs/week Our client are seeking a Senior Parent Support Advisor to join an Early Help Service based in Enfield. * Provide an assessment of families and offer packages of support * Make appropriate referrals to other services based on assessment * Review action plans regularly and coordinate activity to ensure agreed tasks are identified and goals reached * Undertake work in the family home (and local community) with all family members using a working agreement to help parents complete agreed tasks identified in the parenting plan/assessment * Empower families to identify and tackle challenging behaviours, reduce negative family relationships, securing a positive pathway for improvement * Working with families to increase educational attendance, attainment and reduce exclusions * Contribute to the team learning and development activities * Offer listening, advice and guidance to parents in order to develop and enhance parenting skills * Review barriers to participation for parents and demonstrate strategies to support parents overcome these * Deliver evidence-based parenting programmes * Work in partnership with relevant professionals in statutory and non-statutory organisations * Provide direct support to schools to embed early help processes * Attend meetings, reviews, case conferences and court as and when required * Maintain accurate and detailed case documentation files with evidence of decision-making processes and statutory safeguarding actions recorded * Participate in a duty rota system, which includes being responsible directly for and be accountable for taking referrals from families, offering telephone advice, and answering queries by face-to-face contact. Including offering guidance to other professionals/services Requirements * Significant experience of direct work with children young people and their families in the family home or in the community * Experience working in partnership with parents, professional and voluntary sector to meet the needs of vulnerable children and families who have multiple and complex needs to achieve sustainable and positive change * Experience working with partner agencies * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Enhanced Child DBS registered to the update service Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices. 4Recruitment Services in an equal opportunities employer.
