You will be * Preparing budget estimates/cost plans * Preparing bills of quantities * Preparing tender documents * Tender evaluation and report * Interim valuations * Cost reports and final accounts including the evaluation of Contractor€™s claims * Effective variation control * Reporting direct to clients including presentations Skills & Qualification * MRICS of equivalent level qualification * Degree qualified * Good IT literacy, particularly in respect of preparing spreadsheets * Excellent standards of numeracy and literacy skills * Ability to communicate effectively at a high technical level with clients, members of the design team, other professionals in the industry, and contractors in all written communication * Capable of working to specific targets and timescales * A considered approach to negotiations with contractors Person Specification * Proven track record of Cost Management experience * Proven team leadership and development record * Professional, self-motivated, and proactive with excellent organisational skills * Good grasp of construction technology * High levels of attention to detail are essential * Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision but aware of when to seek advice from their line manager * Ability to prioritise workload and meet specific deadlines with a flexible attitude to work * Ability to work within a team effectively * Ability to maintain confidentiality * Committed to Continuing Professional Development and commence assisting others to progress their professional chartership Our top line benefits are: Competitive salaries Twice yearly pay reviews Career progression opportunities Auto enrolment pension scheme Car allowance where eligible Bonus payment, subject to performance and profitability PMI where eligible Hybrid Working policy Payment of 1 professional membership, including APC where relevant Mobile phone where eligible 25 days holiday, increasing to 26 after 1 calendar year (Apr to Mar) Enhanced maternity and paternity pay Wellness programme including:o Employee assistance programme o Health App with access to online GP€™s, yearly health check and nutritionist o Ride2Work o Eye Care Voucher
