We are recruiting an exciting opportunity for a Senior Residential Support Worker, to join a strong and supportive children€™s residential company for a ‘Good’ rated children’s home in Coventry. This is a company who want to create a forward-thinking care approach, by developing attachments with their children and young people, to ensure it is embedded in everything they do. JOB TITLE: Senior Residential Support Worker, Coventry SALARY: £34,000 – £36,000 (dependent on experience) (inclusive of sleep-ins) ABOUT THE ROLE: Rewarding and meaningful career with opportunities for progression. You will be part of a caring and focused team, working with children and young people, providing a warm and nurturing environment. Additional training, coaching, and mentoring is provided to help you grow with the role, with regular support from experienced managers. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN BRIEF: * Managing the day-to-day tasks within the home, using your initiative and working as part of a team * Promoting a positive, open and reflective culture within the home which actively supports the positive holistic development of the children/young people within the home * Ensuring that all children and young people have their needs met and are safeguarded from harm, neglect, abuse or exploitation. * Supporting with quality assurance and regulatory visits. * Responding to any child care concerns appropriately. * Actively promoting structure, boundaries and routines within a safe and nurturing environment. * Providing a positive role model for the young people. * Ensuring that all care plans and reports reflect the model of care used. * Overseeing, supervising, appraising and developing the skills of staff in their working practice. * Working effectively and can co-ordinate with social workers, parents/guardians and other connected professional agencies. IDEAL CRITERIA: * Previous experience working within residential childcare, or similar environment * Strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities * Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or be willing to work towards * Full UK driving licence (essential) * Willingness to be flexible, including shift patterns and sleep-ins
