Job Description

We are looking for candidates who have experience of the main contracting market in central London or the surrounding boroughs. Previous experience in a similar role in construction is preferable. We are looking for people who share our passion for the project at hand whilst also being able to work within a fun and hardworking team environment. Responsibilities: As a Social Value Manager, you will: Liaise with the Customer, dealing with different stakeholders from Councillors, Clients to Local residents Focusing on Employment and Skills plan opportunities for people from the local borough Challenging the supply chain to ensure we maximise and fill the opportunities for apprentices, work experience placements on the project. Completing quarterly ESP returns. Look at ways to work with the community on the project to maximise the Considerate Constructors scheme requirements. Work with local schools, charities etc. Lead all external project communications (Newsletters, Project website update, project social media updates) Deal with any comments/ questions/ complaints on the project from local residents as and when they arise in the most professional and efficient way. This will include going to residents homes to meet with them to close out any issues arising. Keeping local councillors and project stakeholders updated on the project and any external communications. Every 3 months attending and chairing a resident’s forum with the Project Director Implement, manage & take ownership of Social Value Plans for the London region Provide support and assist teams in meeting Social Value targets Provide reports on progress to Senior Management Identify new innovative ways to meet and exceed customer requirements Collate and report back to framework managers on progress. Identify concerns and solutions to enable teams to deliver Social Value requirements Working with the Business Development / Marketing team to maximise social media and PR exposure to highlight social value achievements Build relationships with our customers Identify, through networking and engagement with public & private sector bodies, future social value requirements relating to the construction sector Regular travel requiredNeed to be able to drive + have your own car Willing to travel Previous social value experience – working in an construction environment 5 years + social value experience.
