Support Worker – Barnet

Job Description

Supporting adults with learning disabilities in a supported living service. Supporting with personal care, daily living skills, activities and medication. 30hrs per week on a rota basis, shift patterns are 07.30-15.00 and 15.00-22.00 or alternatively you can work 07.30-22.00. We are looking for candidates who have the following skills and attributes: *Hard working *Positive attitude *Enjoy working with people with learning disabilities *Understand the importance of accurate paperwork *Enthusiastic, kind, honest, trustworthy *Ability to work in pairs or work on their own *Good knowledge of how to support vulnerable clients with care needs *Able to support people to live active, fulfilling lives, ensuring people have fun but also that they complete their everyday household tasks. *Able to chat to people who communicate without speech *Able to support people when they are sad or upset *Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, other professionals, families and the public *Enthusiastic, kind, friendly & honest You may be working alone as well as part of a team, so will need to be able to use your initiative whilst following guidelines & routines €“ liking a challenge is essential.
