16 + Supported Living Team Leader Location; Barking Job Role: Team Leader Working with young people to improve their lifestyle and well-being in a professionally supported accommodation provider and supporting young people from the age of 16 to 18 who meet social care eligibility criteria. Supported Living Team Leader Responsibilities You will be required to carry out a range of duties within your role. The key responsibilities are detailed below. The Young People We Support * You will safeguard and promote the welfare of all young people in the home by being familiar with and aware of the home€™s safeguarding policy, procedures and guidelines and adhering to them at all times. * Take part in the assessment process for potential new admissions to the home. * Monitor and revise young people€™s care and placement plans, ensuring the identified needs of the young people are being met, and be accountable for the overall quality of these documents. * To bring to the attention of the registered manager any matter of concern over the well-being, safety or safeguarding of a young person we support. * Ensure young people€™s support plans are up-to-date and the staff team understands how to implement them and the impact of them on young people. Our Supported Living Staff * Ensure the effectiveness of staff through regular support and supervision. * Coach, train and mentor staff up to the team leader level to enable them to lead and deliver best practices. * To ensure young people have regular social opportunities that are enriching. * Ensure that all staff undertake all required and mandatory training. * To maintain professional boundaries at all times with all young people, staff, visitors and families. * Guide young people throughout their placement and in transitions to and from the supported accommodation environment holistically and in line with quality standards. * Prepare a fair schedule for staff deployed hours covering the contractual and care needs of each young person, ensuring the home has adequate staff cover. Supported Living Team Leader, Quality: * Oversee record-keeping and take part in the regular auditing of the young people€™s records, responding to any issues requiring further action, including those identified at reviews. * To be fully aware of and work with the Supported Accommodation Regulations, including Quality Standards, the Ofsted inspection framework and all other relevant legislation and guidance. * Make sure the environment and building are clean, tidy, hygienic and presentable, ensuring any faults or remedial maintenance issues are dealt with effectively. * Ensure that health and safety regulations are met and that fire regulations, risk assessments and individual plans, including behaviour management, are adhered to at all times. Supported Living Team Leader, Sustainability * Carry out all duties in accordance with Winners of Tomorrow€™s policies, procedures and practices, with particular regard to health and safety at work, health and hygiene, child protection and equal opportunities. * Work professionally with all external stakeholders and regulators, specifically Ofsted and other regulatory bodies inspecting the home. In the registered manager€™s absence, manage and lead any inspection process. Supported Living Team Leader, Person Specifications: * Good character and mentoring skills * Experience with young people and mentoring in the care industry. * Experience leading a team of support workers in a supported living setting. * Good time management, organisation, attention to detail and flexibility. * IT literate. * Good communication skills. * Possess a genuine passion for making a real difference in people€™s lives. * Works well as part of a team as well as individually. Supported Living Team Leader Experience: * Providing care to young people: 2 years (required) Supported Living Team Leader Licence/Certification: * NVQ Level 3: Health & Social Care (required) will support you to do Level 5 in management and leadership.
