International Food Importer and Wholesaler Role: Assistant Stock Controller Language: Mandarin/Cantonese/Japanese are big advantage Location: Greenwich (5 days onsite) Salary: 25-28K Purpose of Role: €¢ Along with the Stock Controller take full responsibility for stock management within the company under the direction and management of the Stock Controller €¢ Help the Stock Controller to ensure accurate financial recording of stock as a major asset of the company €¢ Help the Stock Controller to ensure stock accuracy on the computer system €¢ Help the Stock Controller to ensure that stock held at outside warehouses and by co-packers are accurately recorded and reconciled and control movement between locations €¢ Assist the stock controller in training, motivating and developing the stock control team Key Tasks/ Responsibilities: €¢ Ensure the accurate storage, recording and movement of all stock throughout the company on the company’s computer systems and in physical locations €¢ Assist the stock controller in monitoring stock levels at the company and transferring stock as required from outside locations to the main warehouse so as to maximise sales €¢ Monitor, action and investigate all sales and purchase goods returns and help the Stock Controller to ensure safe return of appropriate stock to the correct locations €¢ Pro-actively advise management of out of date and low/high stock levels €¢ Advise sales teams of stock at risk of becoming short-dated or very slow moving and requiring action €¢ Monitor and report on wastage or over-ordering €¢ Help the stock controller to monitor and reconcile the preparation & movement of key supermarket products from co-packers to warehouses & major customers €¢ Help the Stock Controller to ensure that key lines are correct and adequate at any time to meet demand €¢ Help the Stock Controller to ensure seamless operations in case of absence or holiday €¢ Liaise with other departments to resolve problems and promote a culture of continuous improvement €¢ Liaise with all interested parties (colleagues, suppliers and customers) effectively to deliver maximum customer service whilst reducing costs €¢ Work with the technical team to maintain traceability of stock at al times, assist in audits as required and maintain food safety, legality and hygiene throughout the company €¢ Help the Stock Controller to ensure compliance and enforcement of company policies and procedures €¢ Help the Stock Controller to ensure food quality/safety and accurate documentation as required €¢ Pro-actively look for ways in which company procedures, technologies and practices can be improved and share with the Stock Controller and senior management . Key Deliverables: €¢ Physical stock accurate to the computer figure at all locations €¢ Accurate and timely movement of stock between all locations to maximise sales €¢ All stock queries dealt with promptly €¢ Work constantly to minimise the amount of stock write-off by providing timely information on stock levels and date issues €¢ Tight control and accurate recording of all key lines in all locations €¢ Development of a close working relationship with the Stock Controller and operations team €¢ Development of a close working relationship with all other departments €¢ Adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy Key Success measures: €¢ Accurate Stock records €¢ Reduction of stock write-offs €¢ Internal and external customer satisfaction
