Job Description

Role: Production Supervisor Location: Bilston, Wolverhampton Contract: 6-9 months FTC Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (Pro Rata) Mainstay are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor/Manager on a 9 month fixed term contract. This is an interim role overseeing production staff within a manufacturing environment. This is a good example to secure a fixed term contract with a growing and well-established company. Duties of the role Ensure the correct numbers of components are manufactured on time, in an orderly fashion and to the customer€™s requirements Liaise with the Operations Manager to ensure work is on target for Responsible for all personnel within your area, this includes dealing with minor HR concerns. Ensure that all personnel within your area are wearing the appropriate PPE at all times. Comply with current Health & Safety legislation and ensure that all personnel are also doing so Ensure that housekeeping is maintained across all areas of the shop floor. Adhere to Quality Control procedures and highlight any problems immediately to the appropriate personnel. Co-operate and participate in resolving quality issues as required. Ensure that all paperwork and identification labels are completed correctly, and provide guidance/training to the personnel within your area if and when required. Ensure that all areas are using the most up to date work instructions. Complete Audits of all areas as instructed by the Operations Manager. Create a fair and disciplined environment for all personnel. Ensure that all personnel are productive at all times. Stock taking, when required. Ensure that daily maintenance is conducted and audited. Control Goods In & Goods Out as and when required, ensuring booking processes are adhered to To participate in continuous improvement activities. Must be willing to undertake any training required to further your skills & role.  The Candidate Strong people management skills are essential for this role Good experience using computer programmes (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook Email) Experience within a similar role, specifically within a manufacturing business Strong admin skills Strong verbal and written English skills Can do attitude – be willing to get your hands dirty with any task within the business operation.
