Job Description

Are you an experienced Production Supervisor looking for your next leadership contract? We are currently recruiting for an Automotive Build Supervisor on a temporary basis to join a specialist prototype project based on-site at a prestigious automotive OEM in Coventry. This project is initially 6 – 9 months with a possibility of the project being extended or suitable candidates being utilised on projects elsewhere. This role will be supporting the EV Battery Prototype build and involves supervising a team of approximately 20 technicians which can increase during peak times. You will be responsible for technical validation and specification of parts, process and machinery used on the line, whilst ensuring all equipment and the supporting facility are calibrated and maintained. You will rotate on weekly shift patterns. Shift patterns are: * AM Shift – 06:00am – 14:00pm Mon – Thurs / 06:00am – 11:00am Friday * PM Shift – 14:00pm – 22:00pm Mon – Thurs / 11:00am – 16:00pm Friday Weekend overtime is also available. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Manage and deliver operational processes for the build line * Build engineering – validating parts and processes * Fault finding investigations and resolution to faults on line * CAD validation * Tooling and equipment specification * Utilise Programme build plans to identify any known issues and understand upcoming workload, with aim of no effect to production. * Create and issue weekly dedicated KPI’s, to track delivery quality issues. * Responsible for creation, implementation overseeing of processes * Preparing for audits The ideal candidate will have the following experience: * Proven experience working as a Build Engineer or similar within an Automotive, Manufacturing or Engineering environment. * Strong leadership experience * Excellent planning and project management skills * Experience and knowledge of Quality management systems calibration and audit process. * Computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. * Ability to resolve issues promptly, within a professional manner. * Organised, resilient, with the ability to think outside the box. * Able to commute to Coventry reliably for the shift times required Benefits include: * £28.00 – £32.00 per hour * Outside IR35 * Immediate start available * Weekend overtime starting from 25%+ If this role sounds like it could be of interest, then please apply today for a confidential chat.
